As Christian Men we have a Torch to Carry.

“If you say that someone is carrying the torch of a particular belief or movement, you mean that they are working hard to ensure that it is not forgotten and continues to grow stronger.”

What do we stand for as Christian Men?

What is the movement we are called to fight for?

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:16)

The life that we live should reflect the glory of the God. We are called to live a life of kindness and service. It says in Philippians 2:4 “not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

I want to remind every man that reads this that we have a torch to carry. We have an example to follow and to set. The next generation is watching!

One of my favorite scriptures is Ephesians 4,
Paul is pleading with the body of Christ to walk worthy of the calling we have received.

We are to:
– Walk Worthy (Living Sacrifice, Romans 12:1)
– With Lowliness (Humbleness, Humility)
– With Gentleness (With Care)
– With Patience (Fortitude), Bearing with one another in Love (to hold up, to sustain)
– To Keep Unity of the Spirit, One Hope (Confident Expectation)
We are also to be Courageous and Steadfast. Not wavering to every news report.

Ask yourself….

Are you working hard to make sure that these attributes are not forgotten and are growing stronger?

Are you pressing forward regardless of the obstacles in front of you?

Maybe you are trying your best…Fighting the best you know how….

Even the most disciplined warriors get weary.

The good news is that we are not called to battle alone. We are called into Unity. To lock shields with our brothers.

My goal for each man who encounters Just Add Wilderness is to lead his family like Psalm 112.

The Blessed State of the Righteous
1 Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.
2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness [b]endures forever.
4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established;
He will not be afraid,
Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
9 He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever;
His [c]horn will be exalted with honor.
10 The wicked will see it and be grieved;
He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked shall perish.

I want to invite you to join myself and other mighty men of God seeking to be the MAN WHO GOD CALLED THEM TO BE.

Next year’s events are being planned right now!

We are going to gather together in Colorado. Away from cell phone service, away from the noise and static of life.

We will get out into God’s creation and allow our souls to be replenished.

We will seek His voice and His will for this season in our lives.

We will face the Giants on each of our paths, daring to try and stop us from entering into our promised land.

Will you pick up the Torch? Will you join us?
