PURPOSE
Just Add Wilderness was created to help Christian men battle addiction, overwhelm, anxiety, anger and find their purpose in life. We coach men and walk each one through what biblical leadership, purpose, manhood and identity looks like and how they can apply it in their own lives.
The goal for each man is not to just learn about these areas of life but to experience them in a transformational way. Leading to changes in the home, work place and community. By helping men find a true meaning to their life we know it will produce a domino effect in their relationships and into their communities. The location for the coaching includes but is not limited to Backpacking trips, online communities and event locations such as Airbnb lodging local church facilities.
So why Does Just Add Wilderness focus on Men?
God showed me a Vision of Goliath on a hill being everything you would imagine Goliath is. Tormenting, belligerent, completely intimidating. But… the vision wasn’t of David and Goliath. It was of the men standing behind David, the army of Israel, completely paralyzed with fear.
See, they had forgotten their Identity. They had forgotten WHOSE they were. The same God who fought for David was the same God who would fight for them. They just forgot. Allowed fear to take the place in their hearts and as a result, made them completely useless. They couldn’t function as they were designed.
The same is happening to men today.
They have forgotten WHO they are. They have forgotten WHAT God says about them. They have forgotten WHY they were created.
Just Add Wilderness was created to help men rediscover this about themselves. To help them reclaim that role in their families, work place and communities. To fill that void. To slay those Giants on their path.
